Texas Beekeepers Convention
Theme: “Breeding Better Bees for Texas”
The Texas Beekeepers Association (TBA) proudly announces its 145th Annual Convention, taking place November 20–22, 2025, in Waco. This historic event will gather beekeepers from across the state and beyond to celebrate 145 years of the Texas Beekeepers Association while focusing on this year’s theme: “Breeding Better Bees for Texas.”
The convention will feature world-renowned speakers, hands-on learning opportunities, and Texas’s largest honey show, offering something for every level of beekeeper—from hobbyists to commercial producers. Attendees will explore the latest research and techniques in queen breeding, honey bee genetics, and colony health to strengthen and sustain Texas apiaries.
Keynote Speakers
- Cory Stevens – Owner of Stevens Bee Company and breeder of the renowned “Missouri Mite Hunters” VSH bees, specializing in resilient honey bee genetics.
- Sue Cobey – Internationally recognized authority in honey bee breeding and queen production, and founder of the New World Carniolan Closed Population Breeding Program.
