SPECIAL EVENTS
Art on Elm – 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Enjoy an abundance of art, handcrafted goods, great music a smorgasbord of food.
Celebrate Waco – Saturday, April 11th beginning at 11:00 am with ticketed Loft Living Tours and first ever Food and Drink Tour! Tours will run from 11:00 a.m. – 600 p.m. Tickets are available at the Hippodrome box office. The Festival is open to the public and will feature vendor booths, food trucks, children’s activities, live entertainment and more!
Waco Downtown Farmers Market – 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., features locally grown and produced goods and live music along the banks of the Brazos.
Puppet Show at the Mayborn Museum Complex – 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Ventriloquist Nancy Worcester brings a show of education and entertainment for all ages.
SPORTS
Methodist Children’s Home 5K Run – 2nd Annual 5k and 1-mile fun run. Proceeds benefit the Methodist Children’s Home. Call 254-750-1316 for more information. Registration available online. Registration 7:00 a.m., Fun Run 8:30 a.m., and 5k 9:00 a.m.
Book Boogie 5K Run – 5K benefits Children’s Book Collection for Hewitt Public Library. Register online. 8:00 a.m.
Unbound “Light up the Dark” 5k Run – 5K run to raise awareness of Human Trafficking. Glow-in-the-dark body paint before the race, and a free concert after. Race begins at 8:45 p.m. See web site for registration information.
