Waco hosts sporting events year-round due to its warm climate. Its central location within the state of Texas is ideal for drawing attendance from the major metro areas of the state – D/FW, Austin/San Antonio, and Houston. Regional, multi-state tournaments are also well suited to the area because of the 18 million people within a 3-hour driving radius.

Waco is located on Interstate 35, the “Main Street of Texas,” which runs from Laredo, TX up to Duluth, Minnesota. The area is served by American Airlines regional jets at the Waco Regional Airport. Many sports venues are located on the Baylor University campus, from equestrian facilities to the Ferrell Center basketball arena.

This family-friendly city is home to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, Dr Pepper Museum, Texas Ranger Museum, Cameron Park Zoo, Waco Mammoth National Monument, and the famous Magnolia Market.

The Greater Waco Sports Commission works in tandem with the Waco Convention & Visitors Bureau to serve the needs of the sporting event planner.
