Destination Waco is a department of the City of Waco tasked with marketing Waco as a travel destination. Among the responsibilities of the destination marketing organization (DMO) is to facilitate travel planning for leisure and business and to ensure your visit is unforgettable.

Waco’s Designations
Thinking differently has its moments, and Waco has enjoyed quite a few of them. The city of Waco is designated as a Tourism-Friendly Texas Certified Community, a Music-Friendly Texas Certified Community, and a Film-Friendly Texas Certified Community. Waco also received a Preserve America Designation in 2007 for protecting and celebrating heritage and history citywide through economic development and community revitalization efforts.
