Live Performance of “The Wall” – July 31st and August 1st
Beat to a Pulp, a Waco-based Pink Floyd tribute band, will perform The Wall at The C.A.S.T. (Creative Art Studio and Theatre) at 605 Austin Ave. The full-production shows, presented by Beatnix, are Friday, July 31, and Saturday, Aug. 1. Doors open at 7 p.m.; shows start at 8 p.m.
Tickets are available through Beatnix online at squareup.com/market/beatnix for $20 per show or $35 for both shows. All seating is general admission. Tickets also will be available at The C.A.S.T. the day of the shows. The C.A.S.T. is a B.Y.O.B. establishment, but concessions and non-alcoholic drinks will be available through Beatnix.
Comprised of six local musicians, Beat to a Pulp will perform Pink Floyd’s seminal 1979 album complete with a theatrical set, projections and synchronized lighting.
Beat to a Pulp consists of Ben Basden (rhythm guitar, vocals), Chris Koch (lead guitar), Jack Larimore (lead vocals, effects), Jared Shaw (bass guitar, vocals), Weston Smith (keyboards, effects) and Matt Wheelis (drums).
Several non-band member musicians will join Beat to a Pulp for the shows, including vocalists Timothy Little (San Antonio) and Billy Robinson (Waco), and violinist Kara Larson (Waco). Austin-based and Waco-native vocalist Jaimee Harris will join the band for the Saturday, Aug. 1, show.
