Excavation Station Open at Waco Mammoth National Monument

The newest addition to the Waco Mammoth National Monument is a hands on experience called the Excavation Station.

Dig like a real paleontologist. This new activity is available to the public on weekends and for groups by reservation during the week.

For more information about the Waco Mammoth National Monument, click here.  You will be led by a trained staff member or volunteer in your search for replica mammoth fossils and other surprises. Be aware that you will not be allowed to keep the items you unearth.

Bring sunscreen, plan to get dirty, and have a blast!
