It’s National Travel & Tourism Week

Waco & the Heart of Texas is celebrating
National Travel & Tourism Week, and we invite you to celebrate with us!

MONDAY-FRIDAY

Stop by the Waco Convention Center (100 Washington Ave) or the Waco Visitor Information Center (I-35 at University Parks Dr)
and enjoy a free cookie courtesy of our hospitality partners Collin Street Bakery and Hampton Inn & Suites Waco South.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2014

Join us at 10 AM at the Waco Mammoth Site for a special event celebrating the Travel & Tourism Industry.

Travel industry workers representing key businesses in Waco & the Heart of Texas’ hospitality community will join Mayor Malcolm Duncan, Representative Doc Anderson,
and other city officials to welcome a group of gifted students who have selected Waco as their field trip destination.

The Heart of Texas joins communities nationwide in celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week. The celebration showcases the economic and employment
impact created by leisure and business visitors to Waco & the Heart of Texas. The jobs of our local hospitality workforce—
and millions of dollars in local and state tax receipts— are supported by the vital economic activity generated by travel and tourism.
