How Far to Waco?

OK, so we’re not on Route 66, and are more than “just down the road” from El Paso, but Ronnie Dunn likely wasn’t sitting in front of a Google Map when writing the lyrics to his country song “How Far to Waco”! He talks of getting back to his lost love, repeatedly questioning in the song’s chorus “How Far to Waco?”.
