New Paddle, Kayak, Canoe Rental Companies on the Brazos

Two new companies opened recently in Waco. Waco Paddle Company rents stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes for you to enjoy the Brazos River.  You can visit their trailer near the food trucks located at University Parks Drive and Franklin Avenue.  From there, you can paddle under Waco’s historic Suspension Bridge, through the picturesque bluffs of Cameron Park, or see McLane Stadium and Baylor University up close. Currently, they are open on weekends.

Pura Vida Paddle operates from the dock underneath Buzzard Billy’s restaurant, near I-35 and the Brazos River. They are open seven days a week, and are family friendly. Their services include daily stand up paddleboard (SUP) rentals, kayak rentals, and regular SUP Yoga classes with Yoga Pod instructors. Be sure to park at McLane Stadium, not the restaurant.
