George’s Restaurant & Bar

George’s restaurant is a locally owned diner that has been in Waco since the 1930’s. A traditional Baylor fan hangout, George’s has it’s own “Party Zone” to view all Baylor sports events. Home of the “Big O” – 18-ounce goblets of ice-cold beer, George’s has a full menu that includes a wide array of diner favorites, including its renowned chicken fried steak. Visit their new “Party Zone” for Baylor fans at every home Baylor football game, across from McLane Stadium on South MLK Jr. Boulevard. Texas songwriter Pat Green has captured the history of George’s in his original song, “George’s Bar”. Closed Sunday. George’s #2 is located in Hewitt.
