Lake Waco Wetlands
Created to mitigate the habitat loss when Lake Waco was raised by seven feet in the year 2000, the wetlands offers 3.5 miles of nature trails for hiking, bird watching, and photography. The Research and Education Center teaches school groups about water quality and conservation.
